Rushjudo has added Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to the Youth / Adult curriculum.

BJJ is a fantastic compliment to judo training.

BJJ originated from judo when the Gracie family in Brazil really focused on the ground fighting aspect of Judo and in particular the submitting of the opponent. Over time a whole ruleset was established that has meant that BJJ has developed as a separate sport on its own.

The best way to describe it is judo is 80% standing / throwing and 20% ground fighting whilst  BJJ is 90% ground fighting and 10 % standing /throwing.
